斜交輪胎可以簡單的稱之為尼龍胎。這個概念是相對于子午線輪胎即所謂的鋼絲胎而言的。



斜交輪胎的胎體簾布層是由數層掛膠簾布組成,相鄰的簾布層簾線角度相同,相互交叉排列,簾布層數一般為偶數,這樣能使胎體簾布層負荷均勻分布。斜交輪胎胎冠簾線角度通常取48度到55度之間,胎冠簾線角度是指簾線與胎冠中心垂直線的夾角。簾布層分為內簾布層和外簾布層兩部分。內簾布層是胎體主要的骨架層,其特點是層數多,簾線密度較密,使胎體強度增大。外簾布層位于內簾布層與緩沖層之間起過度作用,又稱之為胎體的輔助層,其特點是層數少,通常只有兩層,簾線密度較內簾線稀疏,附膠量較多,捏著強度較高,緩沖層位于外簾布層與胎面膠之間,其結構由膠片或兩層以上掛膠簾線組成,布層的上,下或中間加貼緩沖膠層?;撼宀懔輩急韌飭輩疾愕拿芏認∈?,掛膠厚度較厚,簾線角度等于或稍大于簾布層簾線角度,相鄰布層相互交叉排列,起寬度一般稍大或稍窄于胎冠寬度。通常載重輪胎的緩沖層采用掛膠簾布與膠片組合結構,轎車輪胎也可采用緩沖膠片作為緩沖層。
